1987 Suzuki Samurai JX For Sale Brief History: Picked up Suzuki in Arizona around October 2024. The engine blew while it was being driven home. Had it towed to local mechanic in Yucca Valley. It was then towed to Petro Works in Fallbrook, California where they rebuilt the engine. It was smogged by Smog Brothers in Fallbrook, CA on December 17th 2024. See attached receipts for full engine rebuild by Petro Works. Over $8K spent. Other receipts show new battery installed in April of 2026. Other maintenance and repairs receipts also attached. Vehicle is currently still registered in Arizona but passed CA smog. Tires are BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 LT315/70R17 (35" with 17" wheel) Tires are date coded 4523 which is early November 2023. **One issue of note is that the rear handle on the tailgate is broken (see video in gallery) From the Owners - Why they are selling: We are selling as our e-bikes, paddle boards and canoe won’t fit. 1988.5 Suzuki Samurai JL 4x4. Rust free Texas truck. Restored by SamuraiSalvage.com (located in central Iowa). It has a clean clear Iowa title. Original black paint. Clear coat is not perfect. It has a fresh Samurai Salvage rebuilt 100 horse engine with new heavy duty clutch kit and new flywheel. New high flow radiator. Rebuilt 5-speed transmission. New Toyota 3K carburetor with manual choke. It has our new performance exhaust system which includes a stainless steel header and stainless steel Borla muffler and 2" exhaust. New brakes and a great working parking brake. New 235-75/R15 A/T tires on 7" steel wheels. Transmission and transfer case shift levers have been rebuilt. Reconditioned dash with new radio/heater control bezel. Nice original checkered door panels. Nice comfortable seats from a Dodge Caravan. New OEM front and rear bumpers with new lights and bumper end caps. New radio antenna. New wiper heads. New glove box door. New coolant and washer bottles. I built this for hunting and off roading. The difference was I was considering getting a Polaris Ranger but all tricked out the cost was over $30k and it would not be street legal. So I opted to have this custom built by off road shops. I have less than 1500 miles on it since the build. I added on board air for front and back lockers and tire inflation, Hard top roof and rack, Three LED light bars, Custom front bumper powder coated, New 33 inch tires and 3 inch lift. 9,000 pound winch, Rebuilt 1.6 engine, rebuilt transmission, custom drive shaft, new transfer case with customized gearing. It runs great and is turn key and street legal. Also added power steering. Have all receipts for labor and parts. It has a camo vinyl real tree wrap in excellent condition. Garage kept.
