1986 Suzuki Samurai 1.6l Swap

$7,000

Bad to the Bone Suzuki Samurai.

we call it the war pig.

Recently purchased this this machine from a gentleman who had to sell it due to new child.
Now I am having a kid, and I am in the same position.
This vehicle was on a deer lease for much of its life. I made it reliable and road safe and I have completed 150-mile trips multiple times. hunting/fishing.
Several trips through Fort Worth and Dallas.

I intend to be as honest as possible in the interest of reducing questions.

Short story: big lift, big tires, new motor, starts first try every time, will climb straight up a wall and has put late-model jeeps to shame. yes, you can daily drive it. WILL TRADE for 4-wheel drive vehicles, passenger van, or maybe a boat with a motor and trailer.

COOL STUFF
Clean Blue Texas Title IN MY NAME (my actual name, not my friends name or my dad's name MY NAME.)
Steel brush guard mounted to frame ready for winch or rear ending somebody.
33" 3-Year-old tires and brand-new matching spare.
Brand new battery
Brand new LED Headlights
Brand new LED taillights and turn signal.
Rebuilt 1.6l 16v suzuki motor from a 1996 geo tracker. (this work was performed prior to me, there is no record of this activity. However, it fires right up and has the best compression you could ask for. Exactly 170PSI in all 4 cylinders.) Service manual says nominal is "160-190PSI" and all 4 cylinders must be within 15PSI of each other.
New Oxygen sensor.
New Spark Plugs
New Air Filter (Spectre)
New Leaf Spring and Shackle Polyurethane bushings.
Spring Over Axle Lift
6" wheel spacers.
New Motor Mounts (Trail Tough)
New fluids and grease all around.
Fiberglass shell
4.10 gears, this vehicle will climb on top of your house if necessary.
Spartan Locker (Lunchbox Locker) this device locks the rear diff ONLY if one tire is spinning hard and the other is not. great for mud/climb getting out of bad situations.
New aluminum radiator stays at a cool 184-194 degrees F on road trips.
has both OBDII and OBDI connection this vehicle does not have EGR or a Catalytic converter.
awesome gas mileage.
awesome torque.
it's the coolest vehicle on the road.

NOT COOL STUFF
runs rich at idle only. once you start moving it runs very clean and relatively quiet.
(This ECM makes EFI Fuel/Air mix decisions based on feedback from the O2 sensor.)
needs exhaust work. the current exhaust system installed is clamped on, not welded.
steering has some play in it, it's a 1986 I think that is expected.
hood and rear bumper have mild dents. irrelevant.
gas gauge does not work
temp gauge does not work
(i have an OBDII reader that i connect to my phone to read temperature)
fiberglass shell does not lock.

thanks for reading.
